Scandybars.

People close to scanners must be very bored or creative...
Either way, the past few months I discovered blogs with scan pictures of sandwiches (Scanwich) , cats (catscan), you name it...
But one of those topped them all. Scandybars.
You can find any candybar you can think of in scan profile on this blog. I don't know why, since I'm not such a huge candybar addict but  I find it quite fascinating to watch all those chocolate treats pass by sliced up like a science experiment.
Or maybe it's just a better thing to do then schoolwork...

Can you guess these one's?

are you chocoholic proof material?

Xmas mode on.

Hooray!
it's that time of the year when you're allowed to sit inside all day in you're piejie's eating home made comfort food, watching the world go colder outside from underneath a blanket and waiting for christmas eve and newyears. And, I don't like to interrupt this fairytale of lazyness, but sadly enough working for uni is also involved in my time schedule.

Talking about comfort food, check out the blog I've found. It's amazing, Lick The Bowl Good and me are not responsible for drooling on your computer or desk. Can't wait to get home, to try out some stuff. So far I'm still in Ghent and I can hear the "music for life" show up to my room. I'm really supportive of the fact they are using media and the famous Belgian people as a means to gain a lot of money for this cause. But it's a bit weird no? I mean how much electricity, gasoline,... is wasted during those days. They move a glass house  3 times to a different city. Is that really necessary? Anyways it's the last edition so I suppose I'll just enjoy the apparent presence of the subs in my bedroom.

A cure for the loss of Bloch bakery...

All of you who have lived in Ghent over the past few years must have experienced the sad loss of the best bakery I ever knew. On the corner of the Veldstraat and  the Zwartezusterstraat, the blue-pink neon letters always caught my eye as I biked to university those first years. And on my way back home in the late afternoon I often stopped by to buy one of their delicious breads or pastries. Until that one day, Bloch bakery announced it's final days of making lovely oven presents. A dark day in the mind of many omnomnom'ers among us. But recently as I was strolling trough the newspaper amazing news caught my eye. Mister Bloch has written down his best recipes for bread and pastries in a book and you can buy it now. I allready pre-ordered my copy. Can't wait to make those "bolussen" at home...

You can order the book @ www.boekbloch.be

via De Standaard.
