Việt Nam ✈ a bunch of pagoda's and Tam Coc

After finishing our two-day boat trip in the Ha Long bay we drove back to Hanoi, city of madness. On the way we stopped by yet another pagoda which was actually not touristy at all and very peaceful. We drove a long time through the green and diverse Vietnamese countryside before arriving there and stopped over in a typical village to buy some cold drinks. I took profit from the
quick stop and snapped some pics of rural non-touristy Vietnam and it's typical houses.

Next day Hoa Lu or "the dry Ha Long bay" was on the program, a scenery of limestone rocks raising everywhere between the rice paddies and temples. We visited a temple of the Dinh dynasty and one of sovereign emperors. Temple galore all the way.

After lunch we did an excursion by small "sampan" boats along the Ngô Đồng river. During this two hour tour you float through three caves and the boats are rowed by women with their feet. Along the way they try to sell loads an loads of stuff to you, so yes yet again I bought one too many souvenirs. After this boat trip we wandered a bit around Van Lam village and then headed for a long roadtrip to the airport to fly from Hanoi to Hué.
