In the meantime...

After having my Belgian friends over for visit, some afternoons of beach, going to strange parties in remote places (lees: Lavalette) and less remote places (Ayers Rock AKA Australian), being at school (voluntarily or not) and if possible some hours of sleeping I kind of forgot that I have a blog to write.

So what happened in the meantime?

*I went to a concert of Chinese man with Marie and Julie and some french friends of them. I only knew the band once played at Dour festival in Belgium and that they are superpopular in France. The Chinese man collective has a record label in Marseille and their genre is labelled as "triphop". I was pleasantly surprised when I left the Rockstore after their concert, influences of jazz, regae, dub and funk all over the place. Check out they're myspace: http://www.myspace.com/chinesemanrecords

*At Agroparadise (=Subagro: residence of Lien, Ana and company) we discovered that even an ordinary cooking night on erasmus is not supposed to be boring. So we amused ourselves with fennel and gave it a name: "Simon". No we don't do drugs.

*Sarah and I filled a sunday afternoon with cultural responsability! Going to the movie King's Speech and eating ice cream! We discovered that standing 15 minutes in line to buy an ice cream is not a lost cause if it's the best Ice Cream since menhood. (Glacier Louise, place Comédie yummieness) AMEN.

*We celebrated Tina's birthday, went in between the apéro in the kitchen and the real party (in some dancebar) to the beerbar with the agroparadise-people. When I drive home from parties I always become philosophical and I realised that Erasmusheaven is only 2 months more ruling our lives.

*I received the news that my scholarship application for Nicaragua has been accepted! So it's official I'm going there this summer to do research on the aquaculture farming process of .... SHRIMPS. I'll do my research at a Pescanova farm in Chinandega. The only town of Nicaragua NOT mentioned in the Lonely Planet. Can't wait to do my proper travel investigations there :-)

*I went to another POlytecH soirée privée and came home with this:

 A plus. x
