I'm a member of the Belgian IAAS group in Ghent (there's one in Leuven and Gembloux as well). Unfortunately my bizzy life doesn't let me that much time for it as I'd wish I had. Yesterdaynight an essential part of the exchange week took place, the trade fair.
That's like an event where every country presents their typical foods and drinks and everybody just randomly eats and gets drunk after a while. It was great! France suprised us with their "crêpes Bretons", "vin blanc", "madelein" and their "fromage" that smelled even worse than my grandmothers feet. While Spain seduced us with their sangria, "tortilla", "turron", "mazapan" and "jamon serrano". We, the Belgians tried to impress them with tons of Côte d'or chocolates, Jules Destrooper cookies, meatballs or "frikadellen" as Stijn would say, apple sauce and not to forget all kinds of Filliers Jenever.
Yeah after a while, some kind of drinking and eating game started and it ended up with someone's head covered in apple sauce. Good times! Saturday they're leaving to their countries. So one more day to enjoy foreing happiness. We're going to visit the cacao lab at our school today and tonight we're going out at Charlatan. Woop Woop.
Have A Nice Day! x
